Objectives

The aims and objectives of ACD shall be the following:

Catering for the extremely poor/weak especially in the rural area to provide them with essential needs
Enabling elderly to sustain themselves as well as the dependants
Lobby and advocating to Government for specific policies for the elderly
Age Care Development (ACD) - Uganda is currently seeking for a “Good Samaritan OR Charity Organisations” to provide a package to support the endeavours of helping the needy in their group and to facilitate sustainable strategies and to spread to other areas in Uganda. The ACD would like to get registered with the Board of Non-Governmental Organizations and open up an Office.

Implementation:

The ACD seeks to implement the above listed objectives by doing the following

Organise workshops to mobilise and encourage the elderly regarding sustenance, livelihood
Provide information about local healthy care services for elderly
Carry out seminars to discuss the four challenges of old age and suggesting ideas to the elderly
Work out with NGOs Local and International in areas of services/support to the aged.
Participate in the local and international elderly conferences
